Budokan is a Dojo affiliated to Kodokai USA under the leadership of Sensei Miguel Angel Zamora.

Since 2016 to date, Sensei Zamora has assumed the role of Technical Director of Kodokai Miami and is the founder of Kodokai USA Karate, which he registered in 2014.

Some of the most important accomplishments in his career are:

  • 2004: SKIF Pan American Champion in Trinidad and Tobago. First place in individual combat and second place in team combat.
  • 2006: Bronze medal at the SKIF World Championship in Japan, and fifth place in kumite -65 kg.
  • 2007: SKIF Pan American Champion in Costa Rica. Gold medal in team kumite and runner-up in kumite -65 kg.
  • 2009: SKIF World Championship Greece, Silver medal in team kumite (final against Japan) and fifth place in kumite -65 kg.
  • 2010: Runner-up in Master kumite at the SKIF Pan American Championship in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
  • 2013: Runner-up in the SKIF Pan American Championship in Panama, in master.
  • 2014:AAU National Champion in the United States.
    SKIF USA National Champion.
    Champion of the Karate Legends 2014 and other South Florida Karate League Championships.
  • 2016:Champion of the 2016 Miami Karate League Karate events.
    Champion of the Miami Open, Kobushi Cup, Karate Legend, Miami Taikai, Miami Florida 2016 championships.
  • 2017: Champion of the 2017 Miami Open championships.
  • 2018:SWKF World Champion Kumite and Bronze Kata in the United States.
    Champion of the 2018 Miami Open championships.
  • 2019: Champion of the 2019 Miami Open championships.
  • 2021: Champion of the 2021 Miami Open championships. Champion in Kata and Kumite Master in the Karate Legend 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022
  • 2022:WUKF World Champion in Kumite and 4th Place Kata held in Florida, United States.
    AAU Regional and National Champion in the United States, National Champion in combat and bronze medal in Kata AAU 2022
  • 2023:World Champion Master Kumite, SWKF organization in the United States and World Sub champion in kata.
  • 2024:AAU National Champion in the United States, national champion in combat and second place in Kata.
    National sub champion Kumite Master NKF, United States Federation and bronze in Kata, in the NKF national championship, United States National Karate Federation 2024 Lafayette/Louisiana.
    Champion in kumite Master and third place in Kata in the SKIF Pan American Championship in Queretaro Mexico 2024.

SENSEI SILVIO CHACON

Silvio Chacon is a distinguished martial artist with a 4th dan Black belt and over 40 years of karate experience. Beginning his journey at the age of 8, Silvio has excelled as a competitor, coach, and trainer, representing Venezuela in numerous National and International karate competitions.

3th Dan Black Belt


Oswaldo Carrillo is a highly accomplished martial artist with a 3rd dan Black belt and an impressive 45 years of experience in karate. His journey began at the age of 10, leading him to excel as a competitor, coach, and trainer.

SENSEI CLAUDIO BRUN

2th Dan Black Belt


Claudio Brun is a seasoned martial artist holding a 2nd dan Black belt, boasting an impressive 45 years of experience in karate as a competitor, coach, and trainer. His journey began at the young age of 10, shaping him into a dedicated practitioner who has excelled both in competitions and in guiding aspiring karate enthusiasts.
